The Story of Eman Al-Hosary
Eman had many dreams, but unfortunately, she was never able to achieve them.
Eman Mohammed Fouad Al-Hosary, a daughter of Gaza, was born on January 1, 2004. She was 22 years old and a nursing student at the Islamic University of Gaza, in her fourth and final year, standing on the threshold of graduation and fulfilling her dream of serving the sick and caring for her people.
At dawn on September 9, 2025, her family’s home in Al-Shati Refugee Camp was subjected to intense bombing, causing the house to collapse on its residents. While everyone believed that Eman had died instantly, she remained steadfast beneath the rubble, fighting for her life for nearly 11 hours.
However, due to the limited capabilities of the Civil Defense in Gaza, rescuers could not reach her in time. At exactly 3:00 p.m., Eman was finally pulled out from under the debris — but God’s will had been fulfilled; she was carried out as a martyr.
Yaman was not just a diligent student sitting in a classroom; she was a symbol of generosity and a face that radiated hope despite the harshness of life in Gaza. She dreamed of wearing the white graduation gown, but fate destined her to wear the white shroud instead, inscribing her name among the martyrs and leaving an everlasting mark in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Eman was not alone; three of her siblings were also martyred alongside her:
Martyr Fouad Al-Hosary
Fouad Al-Hosary was the eldest son of his family and the oldest among his siblings. He graduated in 2024 from the Faculty of Software Development at the Islamic University of Gaza. Fouad was known for his noble character, gentle manners, and pure heart — a model of a well-mannered, ambitious young man. His pleasant personality radiated through his handsome face and constant smile. He was also a memorizer of the Holy Qur’an, adorning his life with faith and high morals.
Fouad loved football and was a devoted fan of Real Madrid. He carried simple dreams like many young people — to work in his field, build a stable future, pursue a master’s degree, and live a normal life away from the sounds of war, fear, and deprivation.
But at dawn on September 9, 2025, tragedy struck. The family’s home in Al-Shati Refugee Camp, west of Gaza City, was subjected to a violent airstrike that caused the building to collapse over its residents. Fouad was among the martyrs who perished beneath the rubble. His pure body remains trapped there until now, the ruins of the home becoming his grave — leaving his parents heartbroken, deprived even of a final farewell.
Fouad Al-Hosary did not get to fulfill his dreams,
God chose for him a higher and nobler destiny — the honor of martyrdom.
He remains a witness to the injustice and suffering endured by the people of Gaza,
and a symbol of patience and unbroken hope.
The martyr Bilal Al-Hasri
Bilal Al-Hasri was an ambitious young man, passionate about learning.
He was in his final year of high school (Tawjihi), carrying a great dream — to be among the top students in his country and to see his name proudly displayed on television screens.
His dream was not only about academic excellence; Bilal aspired to become an engineer, to make his parents and family proud. Alongside his ambition, he was a memorizer of the Holy Qur’an, known for his kindness, good manners, and pure heart. He was loved by everyone and always carried a gentle, innocent spirit.
But at dawn on September 9, 2025, his dream was stolen. The family home in Al-Shati Refugee Camp—west of Gaza—was bombed and collapsed on its residents. Bilal was martyred beneath the rubble, and his pure body remains there to this day, as the ruins of the house became his grave. The pain of his loss still burns in the hearts of his parents, who were denied the chance to say goodbye.
Bilal never completed his journey toward engineering or academic distinction, but Allah granted him the highest of ranks—the rank of martyrdom—so that his name will forever be written in the pages of honor and pride, a witness to the innocence of Gaza’s youth whose dreams are buried beneath the rubble.
The martyr Osama Al-Hasri
Osama was the youngest member of his family — “the last branch of the tree.” He was deeply loved and cherished by his parents, taking on the responsibility of the household at a young age. He often helped his parents with daily tasks and supported them in every way he could.
During the war, Osama began working in trade and was proud of himself for being able to work and support his family. He loved this field and dreamed of becoming a successful businessman in the future. He was known for his energy, diligence, and intelligence, as well as his cheerful spirit that brought joy to everyone around him with his smile and kindness.
But at dawn on September 9, 2025, his dream was stolen when the family’s home in Al-Shati Camp—west of Gaza City—was heavily bombed, collapsing on everyone inside. Osama was martyred under the rubble, and his pure body remains trapped beneath the ruins to this day, as the debris of the house became his grave. His parents’ hearts still ache, never having had the chance to bid him farewell.
Osama never completed his path toward trade or his great dreams, but God honored him with the highest rank — the rank of martyrdom — to have his name written in the pages of pride and glory, and to remain a witness to the innocence of Gaza’s children and youth whose dreams are buried under the rubble of their homes.
Unfortunately, none of these dreams ever came true.
To be eternally immortalized in the record of honor and martyrs
